DTC

At 12:25 today, we received an email confirming that we are officially DTC--Dossier to China. In layman's terms, this means that the paperwork part of Jaxon's adoption is complete and all of it has been sent to China and the China Center of Adoption Affiars. What's next? We Wait! and Wait, and Wait. Our wait could be anywhere from 3-6 months. Let's all hope we travel in 3 months rather than 6 months. When our paperwork arrives in China, it will be logged in and we will receive a LID (Log in Date). It will be translated and then sent for review to make sure it meets all the standards set forth by the Chinese government. And still we wait.

As a side note, it was almost exactly 5 years ago that my Dossier was sent to China for Abigayle. My Dossier for Abi was acutally mailed to China on May 7th, 2005 and was logged in May 17, 2005.
