1st Day of School 12-13
Rise and Shine Sleepy Heads
Hello 2nd grade
Hello Private Kindergarten
Yea, Jax was all smiles at home. Fast forward to the drop off in his new class and the crocodile tears started flowing. And boy did they flow and flow and flow. It was horrible. HOWEVER, things turned around and somehow, he had a great day and now loves his new class. We'll see if he feels the same way at drop off in the morning.
Meanwhile, Abi was little miss eager beaver to get to her new class. While she told me they did not read any books today........., she did get to go to recess, PE, Art and one little girl asked her to be her friend- so all is good in Abi world.+

Beach Trip #2
Earlier this week, my bestest friend Amy and her daughter Rylee came down from Rockwall and off we all went to Galveston for a few days. WE had soooooo much fun. The beach was great. The kids were great. The food was great. The talks were great. The pool was great. Pleasure Pier was great. The hotel was cool, so it was great (we have had lots of problems in the past with the rooms not being cool enough). I wish we could do it all over again this coming weekend.
Kisses for Mommy. Awwwww
Lookout, Ry's got the camera.
I've known this girl since she was about 4 months old. Wow.

BRAVE
Earlier this week, my friend Kerry and I took the kiddos to see BRAVE at the theaters. Unfortunately, I did not think it was all it was cracked up to be. Parts of the movie were very loud, so much that Jax wanted me to keep my hands over his ears for much of the movie and it was dark- both in fighting and color. Don't get me wrong, my kids watch Power Rangers and the Winx fairies fighting bad guys, but something just didn't set well with me. The theme was good--an honory teenage daughter and her mother trying to find their way together when neither will LISTEN to the other. On a good note--I LOVEd her bright orange, flyaway, out of control hair. Glad we got to see it, but we will not be running out to buy the DVD when it comes our or all the paraphernalia that comes with a Disney movie.
