Pre K Graduation

Jax has finished his Pre-K year and will officially be a Kindergartner next year.  We, and especially he, had a great time at the graduation celebration.

 Each child had to draw a picture of what they wanted to be when they grow up.  Jax wants to be just like his Daddy.  As a side note, when Abi did this, she wanted to be a bus driver......

The Arctic

All 2nd grade students were recently required to create a project that represented one of the habitats.  Abi chose The Arctic.  Didn't she do a great job!

Planes, Trains, Trucks or Boats, au naturale

The 2nd graders at Abi's school have been busy studying about recyclable materials, saving the earth, natural resources, etc.  Their final project of the year was to make a vehicle out of recyclable materials found at home.  Abi wanted to make a truck just like her daddy's.  So one cereal box, plus part of a strawberry container, plus a fruit snacks and four coke cans later, you get this. 

Pretty cool huh.  Do notice that Abi is driving and Eric is in the passenger seat.  I can't imagine when that day will come for real. 

Peanuts

Last night we went out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse.  Jax couldn't stop cracking and eating peanuts.

Together Again--BFF's

My bestest friend came in for the weekend to help me paint Eric's future 'Man Cave'/ 'Office'.  I can't even count the number of rooms we have painted together over the past 15 years.  It was soooooo great to be able to spend the weekend together gossiping, painting, eating, etc. 

Such a great weekend.  Can hardly wait to look at my calendar tomorrow to see when we can do it again.
