Hanging with Grandma K
A few weeks ago, Grandma Kreidel came to spend the night with us. Abi immediately took advantage of a new face in the home to show off her reading skills.
Playdates and Sleepovers
So, I have to say, I have previously bragged about what an awesome little sister I have seen her handle 9 kids at once. Last night I handled 6 kids--by myself since Eric is out of the country. Just call me SUPER MOM!

A Great Start to the New Year
Abi Meets the Concrete!
This actually happened before all the drama of Jax and his chicken nugget escapade. I just forgot to post it. Wonder why? So between Abi and Jax, it has been an eventful January 2013.

Emergency Surgery!
Need I say more. A few weeks ago, Abi and Jax went to have a slumber party and Grammy and PaPa's house. The agreement was that we would be there around noon on Saturday to pick them up. We arrive, as scheduled, to the glorious words, Jax is throwing up. OK, no big deal, lets start using all our tactics to get rid of the blockage in his throat. Oh, by the way, what did he eat for lunch that is stuck--chicken nuggets. OK. so after 5-6 hours of poor baby Jax throwing up every 5-10-15 or 30 minutes, we decided, we had better call this one in to our friendly GI folks. They directed us to go ahead and head to the hospital. Long story short, we were admitted to the hospital and surgery was scheduled for the next morning to remove that pesky chicken nugget. After an uneventful night, Jax was wheeled into surgery--he thought the wheelchair was waaaaay coooool. An hour later, we were brought back into recovery to help him out of the anesthesia. Needless to say, he had a great recovery and was pissed that he had to wait 4 hours to eat. As soon as he got clearance he downed two bowls of soup, 1 bowl of noodle soup, 5 pop sickles, pudding, countless apple juices, and mashed potatoes. We finally got released and made it home by 8 pm Sunday night. The little pooper fell asleep on the way home, he was so exhausted from the two days events. We were able to transfer him to the couch when we got home, but as soon as he heard big sister's voice, he was up and ready to go. Uh, I dont' think so, it is bedtime. Back to school and work tomorrow. Glad we did not have anything planned for the weekend............ Anyhow, while mom has not agreed to keep him since that incident, we have indeed given him chicken nuggets. This incident was bound to happen and could have happened to anyone. PS--If you don't want to see what a chicken nugget looks like stuck in your throat, don't look at the picture on the bottom.

SuperBowl
Growing up, I remember Mom making us nachos most Sunday afternoons for a snack while watching football. She would spread the bean dip on each individual chip and put a piece of sliced cheese on it and melt it in the microwave for all of us. Do you know how many chips she had to spread with bean dip for all four of us, yet she did it for her family. Last Sunday, I decided to carry on the tradition and make nachos for my family. Only, I took the cheap way out and used squirt cheese. Jax thought it was way cool.
Found on my phone.
Jax decided to sit on the floor during Christmas Eve church and 'read' the hymnal. It was so cute.
Sweet Malorie--doesn't she look beautiful by candlelight with her PaPa's arm around her
We came home one day to find that Diddle had recruited some of Abi and Jax's toys for a game of straight dominoes.
Abi and Jax enjoying their first ever Starbucks at Grammy J and Grampy's house. Yum!
