Day 34
Our documents have been logged in to China since May 21. We have officially been waiting for our LSC (Letter Seeking Confirmation) for 34 days. We are hoping to hear something maybe around day 54--but that is all just an estimate on our part from reading about other families journeys--not our agency or anything from China.
Ratchets and Ducks
So, last night, Abi and I went for our evening walk/ bike ride to the duck pond. Unfortunately, the ducks were not interested in our bread--must be too many people with the same idea. The thunder and lightening sent us back to the house early where Abi decided to help her daddy work on the jet skiis. She learned about ratchets and wrenches. What a great helper she is. Eric is hopeful that she will learn to rebuild carburetors and engines with him. Oh joy!

Babies and Barbies oh my!
Abi has always loved her babies. She plays with them constantly--patting them, putting them to bed, feeding them, carting them around in one her many strollers, singing to them and reading to them. Lately, she has also taken a liking to Barbie dolls. They are all over the house including the bathtub. Last weekend, they went with us to a pool party. So, let me introduce you to a SMALL sampling of them (top to bottom): Belle, Snow White, Lucy, Strawberry, Samantha, Abi and her all time favorite, compliments of her Aunt Bug, Shilee. You should all recognize the Barbies, but just in case, there is Snow White, Mulan 1, Mulan 2, Tinkerbell and Princess Tianna. She is hoping to get Pochahontas Barbie from the Disney Store for her birthday.
I wonder if Jaxon is going to be Superman, or Toy Story or Pirate or Handy Manny type guy? Whatever you love, little man, Mommy will get for you.
Spring Music Recital
Unfiortunately Eric and I were unable to attend Abigayle's spring music recital. Fortunately, Mom and Dad were able to attend in our place and support grand-daughter #4. Here is a snipet of the performance.
Finally....
Abigayle has finally mastered riding her bike. Every night after dinner, we go round and round the block and over to the duck pond. She is so proud of herself and can't wait until dinner is over each night. Congratulations sweetie--we are so proud of you.
Matching PJ's
I haven't shopped in quite a while--if you can believe that or not, but today, Abi and I had lots of errands to do. We just happen to be walking past a Gap and it was calling my name. Truly, Abi has enough summer cloths and since we don't know when we will travel for Jaxon, I settled on these adorable matching PJ's. I can't wait to get more matching outfits--for like every holiday!

In Zhuhai
This morning I awoke to an updated picture of Jaxon. Sylvia, an online friend in the Netherlands, recently adopted her son from Zhuhai SWI. Unfortunately, I did not get her Jaxon's info in time for her orphanage visit so she could check on him specifically. However, Once she returned to Netherlands, she was able to match up a random picture she took when they visited the orphanage to the pics on my blog. Low and behold it is Jaxon. She said he looked healthy and was up walking around the nursery. My online adoption groups are such wonderful, supportive, and caring communities. I am blessed to be a member of both Abigayle and Jaxon's online orphanage groups. There is so much information to be gained, especially when adoption families rarely know anything about their child's history.
So, take a good look and enjoy Mr. Jaxon.

More Room Developments
Well, the arrival of the furniture prompted us, well Eric, with pressure from me, to go ahead and install shelves into Jaxon's closet. So, we have furniture, cloths and toys--still missing the boy. The sailboat outfit is my favorite clothing item bought so far. The whale outfit is actually a swim suit.

Ann,
The following posts are for you. Enjoy. Be sure and go down to Olympics, I added pictures. Oh and be sure to watch the video from Memorial Day! I am high tech!
Things are heating up!
Today, Eric and I purchased Abigayle a new plastic pool. Our last one finally got too many holes in it to be worth anything. One day, I will have a real pool and won't have to worry about those things, but until then we will enjoy what we have. I think Abi went to bed with a smile on her face tonight, even as exhausted as she was. Oh, I see we need to finish painting the fence. I'll get Eric or Aaron right on that.

Memorial Day Fun
What a fun filled weekend we all had. We were quite a group of 10. Some of the highlights included taking the future 5 year olds tubing under the careful supervision of a 10 year old and 7 year old. Abigayle laughed and giggled the whole time. Other highlights included Kenlie (10 years old) and Evie (5 years old) water skiing. Malorie (7 years old) gave it an honest effort, but well, let's just say that skiing is not her thing right now. Oh, and who caught the biggest fish of the weekend, that would be the 10 year old Kenlie who raked in a rather large carp. You go girl. You know, she is named after your truly...... Anyhow, I forgot my memory card, so the only pics I have to share are the ones my mom graciously sent. Finally, I big salute to all the members of our armed forces, both current and past who continuously fight so that we can continue to be free.
